PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
COLOURTOP is a pre-mixed, ready to use, colour hardener comprising
of graded crystalline silica quartz aggregates, a blend of cements &
a unique proprietary chemical admixture package.
PURPOSE
When applied to fresh wet concrete COLOURTOP will enhance the aesthetic
value of concrete slabs. Will produce a coloured, more abrasion and stain
resistant surface.
SPECIAL PROPERTIES
- Ultra Violet (UVA)
stable pigments conform to BS1014. Colours will not fade as a result
of direct sunlight.
- Improved workability
and low water demand create an extremely abrasion resistant and durable
surface
- Variety of final
finishes available
- Ease of application
allows for fast track installation - in excess of 100 m2 per day
- Available in 24
standard colours.
- Conformity to BS5750
to ISO9001 ensures colour matching should access to services of paving

will greatly reduce staining and algae growth

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
The concrete slab should be in accordance with the appropriate recommended
pavement concrete as detailed by the C & CA. When the surface water
has evaporated COLOURTOP should be broadcast over the slab evenly
in two applications of 2.5kg/m2 per application. The slab should be float
finished between 1st & 2nd application & after second application
of COLOURTOP. Application of PICS LSS should be applied to assist
with curing the concrete slab.

SPECIFICATION CLAUSE
The slab shall be coloured and hardened by the use of COLOURTOP
which shall have been tested by an approved body and achieved a 72.5 Mpa
compressive strength to BS1881 Parts 114, 116 : 1983 and a TRL tested
SRV of 44 to 65 in conformity with the UK Highways Authorities Tender
Specification.
The COLOURTOP
shall have been produced in minimum 2000kg batches in accordance with
an accredited BS5750 ISO9001 Quality Assurance System.
The final finish of
the concrete slab will be (as detailed by the specifier)
L.S.S. will be applied
to the finished surface to assist with curing.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
COLOURTOP is non-toxic and non-flammable. Avoid contact with skin
and eyes. Flush affected areas with water. Do not take internally. Refer
to the Health & Safety Data Sheet for further information.
